Spirited Away, for the first few years of her life did sterling service as a hire boat before passing into private hands. She is equipped with a robust Isuzu diesel engine with 640Ah of domestic battery power, which is maintained by a large bank of six 150W solar panels. 230V power is provided by the Victron 3kW inverter/charger. The interior cabin lends itself ideally as a family boat or is equally suited for cruising with friends. She is fitted out in the popular REVERSE layout with the saloon/dinette at the aft. The curtains and upholstery have been recently replaced with removable covers and waterproof liners. Accommodation is versatile, sleeping up to ten people with two fixed doubles and four singles (two bunks), with a third make-up double on the aft L-shape seating. The galley houses a tall fridge/freezer with gas cooking and a washer/dryer is also onboard for convenience. Cabin heating is provided by an Eberspacher compact diesel boiler to radiators throughout the boat, with a solid fuel stove for additional warmth. The layout could easily be adapted to create a very comfortable liveaboard with excellent storage and space.
