We are delighted to be appointed to broker the first built Charnwood Hobbit from Ovation Boats. This superb 42ft cruiser stern is all-electric providing near silent cruising, offering a relaxing way to explore the waterways, the chance to see wildlife close up and of course a greener way of boating. Propulsion is by a Lynch Marlin 8kW electric motor, powered by four Pylontech US5000 48V 100Ah lithium batteries. Batteries are charged by a Beta Gen10 cocooned diesel generator, aided by the 1.2kW of solar on the roof. Accomodation is for four people, with two make-up doubles on the comfy seating areas, an L-shape at the fore and two bench seats at the aft. Headroom throughout the cabin is 6ft 5in and that, along with the use of a fresh, bright, modern fit-out, makes the Hobbit very appealing and welcoming. A large walk-through shower room with quadrant shower, cassette wc and feature washbasin is situated mid-ships allowing access and privacy to both berths. Heating is by an Eberspacher diesel boiler to towel rail and two warm blown air heater matrixes, with additional warmth from the diesel corner stove. Hot water from the calorifier is heated by boiler or immersion.
