Modern narrowboats seem to be stuffed to the gunwales with more and more electrical equipment and gadgets etc. Tamarisk is equipped with simple systems onboard, meaning less things to go wrong, but there is of course everything needed to step aboard and just start enjoying all that the canals have to offer. To keep the domestic cabin batteries topped up there is a roof mounted 80W solar panel (ideal when the boat is left unattended). Cabin heating is provided by Webasto diesel boiler to two radiators which also cleverly utilise the heat produced by the engine. Additional warmth is provided by the popular solid fuel stove. Hot water is from the calorifier, heated by engine and boiler. 230V power when not connected to the shore is provided by Nikkai 1kW inverter. Fitted out in the traditional 'floating cottage' style, with the master bedroom at the aft. The saloon at the fore features two easy armchairs, whilst still leaving space for a folding table table. Usual gas cooking can be found in the galley along with an under counter fridge. Tamarisk could be a perfect starter boat for a couple with scope for upgrades should you wish.
