Swift is a striking example of classic narrowboat craftmanship and notable as the very first Hudson josher-style shell ever constructed. The current owner, who worked closley with Steve for many years, completed the internal fit out himself, resulting in a beautiful and expertly executed interior. Lovingly used as a residental home since new, Swift is now reluctantly offered for sale. The Boatman s cabin features an ingenious fill-in piece that transforms the bed box, allowing for lengthways sleeping. The cosy saloon includes built in seating with an adjacent dinette comfortably seating four. The well equipped galley includes a gas oven and grill, hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The walkthrough bathroom is fitted with a corner bath, washbasin, pump-out wc, and a neatly stored and hidden Porta Potti. A beautifully grained and decorated Boatman's cabin leads to an engine room housing the vintage Lister JP3M diesel engine. Comfort onboard is enhanced by a diesel stove with back boiler, a back cabin range, and hot water is provided by engine, stove and immersion, with an alternative option to use the gas instantaneous water heater.
